All,
We have hit a milestone this week with opal 3.6.1 being accepted into unstable
and available to all for install [1]. This now clears the way for ekiga 3.x
to also be uploaded to unstable and thus both can migrate for the squeeze
release ;-)
Prior to this week Debian unstable had been working with the quite obsolete
opal 2.2.x since 2006. [2]
Thanks to Eugen Dedu for his perseverance in driving the pkg-voip team into
making this a reality.
Intentions from here on are to keep ptlib and opal in sync with upstream
release cycle, in both sid and squeeze distributions.
Thanks,
Mark
