Ah ok experimental! I knew that Junichi coundn't produce a bogus bug  
report, lightly ;-)

So, I installed -t experimental libopal3.4.2 libpt2.4.2 ekiga simpleopal

Both simpleopal 3.4.2 and ekiga 3.0 works as expected, although ekiga  
spits (ekiga:3331): GConf-CRITICAL **: gconf_value_get_string:  
assertion `value != NULL' failed... but just works.

I'm running out of ways how tackle this. Let me know if I should  
perform more tests.
