Problems with dahdi and USB detection

Hello,

I don't know if I should report the problem here or upstream, but
there's a problem with dahdi and USB detection and the use of /sys
instead of /proc.

The perl modules try to parse /sys/bus/usb/devices/*-*/serial, which
doesn't always exist. As a matter of fact, I couldn't find a /serial
file on any USB device on any machine at any of our offices, except an
obscure Samsung printer somewhere in Switzerland...

Anyways, it's in file USB.pm, problem was solved in r7542, but was
re-introduced in r7559.

I suggest another way to deal with the problem. Patch enclosed.
