Bug#624569: FTBFS because of missing build-dependencies

Package: src:asterisk
Version: 1:1.8.3.3-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

asterisk currently FTBFS on the hurd, kfreebsd-amd64/-i386 and sparc
because of missing build-dependencies[1]. The missing packages are
libtonezone-dev (src:dahdi-tools) and libsrtp0-dev (src:srpt).

Since it seems unlikely that these packages get fixed soon[2][3], you
should consider building asterisk without these libraries or temporarily
removing asterisk from the affected architectures via [4].

This is especially important since the latest asterisk fixes some
security issues (DSA 2225[5]) but won't be able to migrate to testing
any time soon in the current state.

Please don't hesitate to reassign this bug to the buggy libraries if you
think it's appropriate.

Best regards

Alexander Kurtz
