It is my opinion that this is an RC bug that we should not ship without
fixing though :)

Regardless of how long we went without anybody noticing it previously,
it seems quite clear that now people know what to look for, plenty of
them are having no problem tripping over it at all, and we are finding
hints of old reports scattered around the net that nobody brought to
our attention previously - now that we know to go looking for them too.

I'm just waiting for one last pair of eyes to sign off on the proposed
update patches I have queued now, and then I'll push it out.
