I think I have this same bug, but way worse than how it's described
here.  The actual speed of the memory increase for me is really fast.
The memory usage for mumble goes up by ~1% every 10 seconds.  I have 8
gigs of RAM so the actual increase is about ~800 MB over that time span.
This is connected to a server with a few people talking.

I've tried changing around all sorts of settings with no luck at getting
it to stop yet.  The only thing I've found that helps is that after I
click "Apply" or "OK" on the settings page it goes back to ~1.5% memory
usage and starts climbing again from there.  So whatever happens after
clicking those buttons is cleaning up that memory, and I can do that
periodically to keep it from locking up my entire machine.  If I let it
keep going eventually my whole computer freezes up until mumble crashes
entirely and other stuff can start working again.

If anyone has any troubleshooting they'd like me to do just let me know.
