The root cause of the problem appears to be a requirement for local
audio hardware when that test case runs

The next upstream release (1.8.12) will not automatically run that test
case any more

The 1.8.10-5 and 1.8.11-1 packages suppress the test case within
debian/rules, please let me know if you have other issues and confirm if
this bug can be closed now
