The simplest solution is to apply the upstream fix, 
http://sourceforge.net/p/opalvoip/code/31087/

I would like to do it, but I am a bit disoriented with the svn 
repository of ptlib.  Mark, could you tell me where are the repositories 
of trunk and unstable/testing of ptlib?  As far as I see, both are in 
the same place, svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-voip/ptlib/trunk ?!
