In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following:

  * Use dh_autotools-dev to update config.{sub,guess} for new ports.

This 1-liner should be pretty much entirely self-explanatory.  It's
needed currently for (at least) the arm64 port, and future-proofs
you against new ports as they come along without having to do uploads
just to update config.sub and config.guess.
