PJProject version in Debian?

Yesterday I identified an issue that appears to be in the PJProject ICE
code, it is on the asterisk-dev list[1]

I notice Debian has PJProject 2.1.0.0.ast20130823-1~bpo70+1

README.Debian[2] mentions dynamic linking has been added for the package

The Asterisk wiki mentions they now rely on v2.2[3] but it is not clear
if that is just for Asterisk 12 or if recent versions of Asterisk 11
also need any updates to PJProject

Can anybody clarify the PJProject situation on Debian or the
expectations for Asterisk in jessie?
