Asterisk packaging

Hi,
we've been looking into getting Asterisk 13 into jessie-backports.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that implies getting the same or higher
version available in stretch.

Do you know what the situation is with the packaging and what needs to
be done? I have tried building the current version on alioth (13.1) on
both. It builds on Jessie and not on Stretch (the latter because of gcc5
being the compiler used[1]), have not tried running it yet.

I have yet to come across issues like #795825/801535/804460 with the
13.7 tarball since my attempts to build it lead to git-buildpackage
slightly confused and trying to find a file with version 13.7-None (or
something along those lines) in the name.

We can try and get a new version in sid/others with some guidance on how
to generate the proper tarball from the one provided upstream (it seems
that the sound files are first split into separate source packages
somehow?) and maybe with other issues if we get stuck.

Feel free to point me to other channels/teams that might be able to help us.

Cheers,
Ondrej
