Bug#831339: ring: Valgrind reports read from released memory

I noticed a segfault in gnome-ring while trying to make a call, and
followed up trying to reproduce it in valgrind, only to notice that the
program is using memory after it is released.  The attached valgrind log
show the problem, unfortunately without detailed debug information.

Please make sure the program do not trigger any problems in valgrind.
