I could not reproduce the segmentation fault on a fresh installation
of Debian jessie with xfce4 under VirtualBox. I could switch virtual
desktops during a call without any issues.

Interestingly, twinkle complains about the missing DRI driver:

libGL error: pci id for fd 21: 80ee:beef, driver (null)
libGL error: core dri or dri2 extension not found
libGL error: failed to load driver: vboxvideo
