Sorry for the long reponse time! Even if I am subscribed to this list,
it is filtered and marked as read in my mails :(, so I never noticed
your messages.
I am glad you have interest in my work on packaging Ring!

This is done already.

If libiax2 was brought back, Ring could use it.

We don't! The contrib system wasn't picking it up but I have worked
around that in a patch, it is not included in my package anymore.

The package in Experimental is good enough, I'll strip it from the
tarball when it makes it to unstable.

I am impressed to see an ITP for OpenDHT. Sadly, OpenDHT's API is not
yet stable enough to be packaged independently Debian. OpenDHT
developpers are part of the Ring team and ensure that the version
included in Ring is the most secure/stable for the project.

That isn't possible. Ring's version of pjproject is heavily patched.

I am not really in a position to review those. The Ring team had to wait
a very long time for reviews on the pjproject mailing list, but we
eventually got replies. I think that its worth trying to submit those
patches individually to pjproject, they may eventually get merged.
For your info, Ring is in NEW at the moment.
Thank you again for this attention.
Cheers,
