Bug#857293: asterisk-chan-capi: should it be removed from Debian?

Source: asterisk-chan-capi
Version: 1.1.6-1
Severity: serious

This package is not seeing an upload since 2013, it's in jessie, nor
stretch, and I don't think even in wheezy. Actually, the last upload
from an "registered" uploader is from 2009.
There are 3(!) RC bugs, with only one reply from an uploader, 4 years
ago.

It seems to me several of those bugs would be fixed with just a new
upstream, which is clearly not happening.

Also popcon is low, 18 installation reported (0 recent).

Therefor, I'm suggesting to just remove this package from the archive.

Please reply, as at some point I might very well come back and ask for
RM myself.

Thank you for maintaining asterisk-chan-capi so far.
