I could do this, but it will only fix one RC bug that keeps it out of
testing (the other one is yours, #857906) and iaxmodem is on my
shortlist for Orphaning and removal from the archive.

So unless someone (you?) steps up to maintain it properly just fixing
this one RC bug won't help.
