Is JACK implemented?

Hi, sorry if this is not the place to ask (BTW, I'm not yet subscribed
to this list).
I'd been trying Jami between a couple of laptops, with Debian Testing and Arch.
It seems to being working great for video-calls using PulseAudio.
Now, in an Arch box it also offers JACK as audio server, but I couldn't connect
the audio ports (in the 'Connections' window of qjackctl).
In Debian Testing right now it seems to not offer JACK as an option.
Is this correct?
The question would be: is JACK implemented, and if it is, at what extent?
