Selecting a SIP phone which accepts phone book uploads can save you a 
lot of typing.

How exactly does SMS over VOIP work?
And how does one enter text on a SIP phone? A soft phone seems more 
convenient for this purpose.
How does one enter a SMS on Linphone?
