Thanks Jonas,
I am very new to contributing to Debian, and I really appreciate your patience and guidance.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1031046 seems to be blocking asterisk from entering testing again. To solve it requires "a reliable commitment by the maintainers to backport/test security fixes" for 3 years.
A person volunteered to do the work, and the conversation was moved to the mailing list, but when I checked the archive around that time, the conversation does not continue and the bug did not close. Did I miss something?
Specific instructions I saw were to register on salsa, which I have done, and to join the pkg-voip-team, which I'm unsure how to do. There is a "request access" option. Is that what I should choose?
Martin
