Same here, though instead of "sitting it out" I'd advocate for "making a 
concerted effort to get Asterisk into shape for Trixie", with a fallback 
of "if that doesn't work out because of reasons beyond our control, 
there's stable-backports".

Speaking of concerted effort, the pjproject packaging you mentioned 
doesn't seem to be on Salsa. I'd like to have a look and/or use it as a 
base to start off with packing 2.15 for Debian, if possible.
