Hi Jonas,

I was thinking that it would be possible to go directly from unstable to 
backports. Quoting from https://backports.debian.org/: "(In a few cases, 
usually for security updates, backports are also created from the Debian 
unstable distribution.)".
If Asterisk does not fit in that category of "few cases", I would be 
happy to build my own private backport from unstable.
I prefer that instead of building directly from the sources, because I 
value a lot the work done my Debian devs in releasing stable and secure 
packages (even if they are only available from the unstable release).
