You could simply configure either fail2ban or Asterisk's logging to 
match each other. No rebuilding involved here.

… and/or help maintain fail2ban. This bug (and quite a few others) is 
almost three years old by now. :-(

Also, we didn't release all that long ago; divergence between Trixie and 
Forky is rather minimal so far.
