Vampire Crawlers Is Live Right Now—And It’s Free on Game Pass
The wait is over. Vampire Crawlers, the dungeon-crawling card-battler spinoff from the Vampire Survivors devs, just launched today at 12pm ET / 9am PT — and if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, you can play it for free right now.
This isn’t just another Vampire Survivors clone. Developer Poncle completely flipped the formula: instead of top-down bullet-hell chaos, you’re in first-person dungeons building card decks and chaining combos to hit infinite damage (yes, really).
How it works
Play cards in ascending mana order. Each card multiplies the next one’s effect. Use wildcards to extend combos to 10... 20... 30+ hits. The “Turboturn System” lets you play tactically slow or speed-run turns as fast as you can—either way, the math is accurate.
Where to play
PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Switch, and Switch 2 for $9.99 (10% launch discount on Steam). Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers play for free. Mobile (iOS/Android) coming later in 2026.
Why it matters
Vampire Survivors has 126,000 Steam reviews and an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating four years after launch. This spinoff is Poncle’s first major follow-up, and Microsoft is pushing it hard with day-one Game Pass access.

Peter Molyneux’s “Final Game” Launches Tomorrow
Masters of Albion — the god game from Fable and Black & White creator Peter Molyneux — hits Steam Early Access tomorrow (April 22) at 6pm BST / 1pm ET / 10am PT for $24.99 (10% launch discount).
Molyneux is calling this his last game ever after 43 years in the industry. It’s a blend of city-building, real-time combat, and god-game mechanics: by day, you build towns with total freedom. By night, you defend against monsters.
The dream team
Includes devs from Fable, Black & White, Dungeon Keeper, and LittleBigPlanet. This is a genuine “greatest hits” reunion.
The catch
Molyneux has a history of overpromising (Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube, Godus). He openly calls Masters of Albion his “redemption title.” PC Gamer’s hands-on was skeptical, worrying it’s “trying to be all of Molyneux’s games at once without excelling at any.”
Early Access plan
Chapter One launches tomorrow with full story. New areas added over 1-year Early Access period. First-week buyers get exclusive “Founders Paint Pack” (limited in-game colors).
Verdict
If you’re a Fable or god-game fan, it’s worth a shot. If you’re skeptical of Molyneux... maybe wait for full release reviews.
