FTBFS of 22.8.0~rc1

Hi,

the lines 
/usr/bin/x86_64-linux-gnu-ld.bfd: input SFrame sections with
different format
+versions prevent .sframe generation
/usr/bin/x86_64-linux-gnu-ld.bfd: final link failed
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

smell like a binutils/gcc problem.

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1125944 looks
like this. Might be a bigger issue, i.e. gcc and binutils are in
a broken combination in testing ATM.
