According to a comment on the upstream bug report, "this causes a
crash on newer Mesa when using software rendering".

So this shouldn't crash with hardware acceleration enabled. It also
seems to be specific to Wayland, so if you use X.org it probably won't
crash.

As I said that problem has been detected and there's a patch
available, so expect a fixed version of WebKitGTK+ soon.
