[pkg-wicd-maint] Wicd - Dropped form Debian 11, looking for opinion.

Hi guys.

Hopefully this email account still works / is monitored.

I used Wicd exclusively because I only use tiling window managers.  I 
noticed Wicd was dropped from Debian 11.

Might any of the maintainers be able to offer suggestions on whether or 
not there are known good forks out there that you could recommend us 
looking into or perhaps how much work it might take to modernize Wicd to 
support Python 3.x?

I'm emailing you because your familiarity with packaging and dealing 
with the codebase is probably the best source of insight on forks / 
upgrade paths for the codebase.
