Usually debian lists don't have list reply, and it's easy enough to reply to the

I know subversion better too, but if needed I will learn mercurial...
What I noticed using it just for doing "clone" and then "pull" (and "update")
from the xen repository is that it's kind of slow, compared for example to svn!

And on the other hand since we have alioth already providing svn.debian.org and
it's easy for everybody to get inside alioth and have then commit access I could
argue that going distributed is a bit of an overkill...

But if people think it's useful I won't oppose too much! ;)
