Hi Aurelien,
thanks for your work! I will your packages this evening/night and will report
you if I had success. I will test libc6-xen in dom0 (host system) as well as
in a domU (guest system). For both type of xen vm's the libc6-xen package
will be very usefull.
And btw... it's not only because of speed issues without using this special
libc6-xen package, it also because of having a solution for users that is
really user-friendly. Until now almost every xen user moved /lib/tls away to
disable ntpl. But on upgrading libc6 the /lib/tls directory is existing
again.
Because sometimes a domU (guest) system is not under control of the same
person maintaining the dom0 (host) system this was really a problem. Not all
users / customers / linux beginners are clever enough to move /lib/tls away
after upgrading libc6/glibc, even if xen warns about that problem at least at
boot time.
If libc6-xen is installed, the user doesn't have to take care of this problem
at all. So this is (atleast for me) as important as the speed benefit.
