I have noticed that, when I'm getting low on memory, the dom0 gets a bit of
it's memory (down to 192MB) taken away from it. So I guess it's probably
better to not use the dom0_mem option, at least if you're running Xen on a
workstation.
For myself, I'm still a bit freaked out by the idea of having memory just
disappear from a running machine, so I tend to avoid the balloon stuff if I
can.

I suspect you meant "kernel <hypervisor image>" there.
