Package: xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-i386
Version: 3.2.0-2
Severity: normal

I'm afraid this bug report will be somewhat unspecific. Please let me
know what I need to do in order to extract more useful information out
of xen.

I have done the following to install xen:

installed xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-i386, xen-utils-3.2-1,
linux-image-2.6.23-1-xen-686

fixed /usr/sbin/update-grub (see bug #455706)

The xen entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst looks as follows:

title 386 / Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.23-1-xen-686
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/xen-3.2-1-i386.gz
module /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.23-1-xen-686 root=/dev/sda1 ro quiet console=tty0
module /boot/initrd.img-2.6.23-1-xen-686
savedefault

Well, o.k. next step I rebooted and tried to reboot into xen.

Xen boots but hangs after printing out

Xen is relinquishing VGA console.

After that, nothing happens, no hard disk activity, nothing.

I have played around with the boot options, in particular with the
console= paramenter, but to no avail.

I have tested on two machines with identical results, one is a Lenovo
laptop, 3000 N100, the other is a desktop machine with an AMD Athlon XP+
2400

I have also asked for comments on the Debian-user-de mailing list, but
no useful advise was given.

Alternatively, I tried the nopae version of xen, but this would result
in constant reboots.
