So I had purged the xapi packages and rebooted the host. Then I did a
reinstall.

Setting up xcp-xapi (1.3-15) ...
Error: Connection refused (calling connect )
md5sum: /var/lib/xcp/templates.md5: No such file or directory
Waiting for xapi to signal init complete

failed to detect xapi init complete after 300s
Setting up xcp-guest-templates (0.1-3) ...
Setting up xcp-vncterm (0.1-2) ...


The connection error is still there. And because of that there's a 300s
timeout.

This is my cleaned up environement.
lnx200-39:~# ls /etc/x
xcp/       xdg/       xen/       xen-tools/ xml/      



I'll look more into it.
