Package: xen-utils-4.0
Version: 4.0.1-5.4
Severity: important

This bug affects xen-utils-4.0 in debian stable and xen-utils-4.1 in debian testing.

xen-utils contains the python libraries for python development against xen/xenstore.

These libraries should be separated from the main xen-utils packages so that they can be installed on a xen domU without pulling in dom0 xen functionality (i.e. the remainder of xen-utils and xen-utils-common).

The libraries are dependent on the xen and xenstore libraries so any libraries in xen-utils may have to be migrated to a separate package, similar to how it is already done in debian testing.

As xen-utils-common will not currently install in a domU I have marked this bug as 'important'. If/when that bug is resolved this bug can be demoted to 'normal', since it then becomes an issue of disk space rather than an inability to install the package without workarounds.
