First: It's  been nine months since you last cut and even then  it wasn't out of habit. You are *not* going backwards. You're making a  lot  of  fantastic progress  and should be proud of  yourself! Don't let the fact that things are  going downhill a little bit lately  distract you from recognizing your  overall trend of  improvement.

Second: This sounds like a great opportunity for you! In the past, your response  to feeling bad  about your body  would probably  be to  cut. Now you have  a choice. I know the  urges are still  there and  that it's just hard  to manage sometimes, believe me  I  know. Still, and this sounds weird,  but this is a great opportunity to prove to yourself just how far you've come  by deciding to handle your feelings in a way that fosters self-improvement  and progress instead of by cutting. This isn't backtracking, this is a chance to really dig in and be brave when  it counts. It's never easy and never happens without a few ups and downs, but you can do it.
