I'm fairly sure your setup isn't that special to be incompatible with
`git send-email`. For example you can setup `git send-email` to use
arbitrary SMTP server, see here:

No, they don't. Because they are base64-encoded. Patch needs to be in
plain format, not plain format wrapped in base64.
