I had the Python portion cross-compiling reliably and so passed it
upstream.  More recently I was testing Han's 4.14 branch and discovered
a bit of breakage which hadn't previously shown up.

The patch for that is "tools/python: Pass linker to Python build process"
which should already be in your @xenproject.org mailbox...   So far it
has been almost a week and there hasn't been any commentary.
