Hi XMPP maintainers,

I am looking for a sponsor who can upload the latest version of Jappix
to Debian. Jappix is a web interface based on the XMPP protocol. The
source and packaging is already maintained and available from Git on
Alioth [1]. I also uploaded it on mentors.debian.net [2].

More than a year ago, I started packaging the Jappix application.
Marcelo Jorge Viera did an initial review of the package and fixes
were made to address all issues. At the same time, I posted a bug
report to upstream developers asking them to make Jappix compatible
with the version of JQuery that is included in Debian. Almost a year
later, the developers send me a notice that Jappix has been fixed and
is compatible with recent versions of JQuery. Meanwhile, upstream
moved their development to Github.

The package is not Lintian clean. There is an included (DFSG
acceptable) font that is not yet available as a separate package.
Efforts to package this font seem to have been abandoned. I did not
add an override for this Lintian warning.
