[Pkg-xmpp-devel] Updating qxmpp

Dear XMPP Maintainers,

I’m working on packaging Kaidan [0][1] and it requires qxmpp >= 1.2.0.

I see that the version in experimental looks good but hasn’t been pushed to unstable yet. Is there any reason for that ? I’ve not checked the sonames but there’s no reverse deps in the archive so we shouldn’t need a transition anyway.

If that’s useful or can help with moving forward with unstable, I’ve prepared the packaging updates for upstream version 1.3.1 at [2]. Feel free to import the changes or give me access to the Salsa repo/group and I’ll push the chnages in the official repo. I don’t feel like playing with MR for master+upstream+pristine-tar branches.

Here’s the changelog:

qxmpp (1.3.1-1) UNRELEASED; urgency=medium

  [ Aurélien COUDERC ]
  * New upstream release (1.3.1).
  * Build with GStreamer support for Jingle.
  * Bump watch version to 4 (no change required).
  * Bump Standards-Version to 4.5.1: no change required.
  * Bump debhelper compatibility level to 13.
  * Copyright, add missing info about BSD-licensed cmake modules.
  * Add salsa-ci.yml pipeline for GitLab CI/CD on Salsa.

It’s of course fine if you only want some or none of the changes for 1.3.1 for whatever reason. :)
