Thanks for the report - I think it is because of a missing b-d on gtk-doc-tools. Anyway, I just uploaded 1.9.2 to experimental, if you have cycles please test that. When 1.10.0 is released as stable upstream I will upload to unstable. I just installed latest autoconf/automake on my machine so they will be used to bootstrap the release.
