Hi:

It is a nice thing until the clean unmount and wiping of the memory at
the shutdown works with debian.

I would like to point to outstanding bugs:

§1 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=587222
§2 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42630
§3 http://wiki.debian.org/AdvancedStartupShutdownWithMultilayeredBlockDevices

In the third reference above, it categorically stated somewhere at
almost the bottom of the page that "As we cannot close the dm-crypt
devices laying below an encrypted root-filesystem, we're currently
vulnerable."

How did you address the issue? Thanks!
