[Pkg-zfsonlinux-devel] What more can be done to get ZFS into Debian?

Hi.

I am one of the Debian developers trying to get ZFS into Debian, and
wonder if you got some ideas how we can move the process forward.

Two weeks ago, I wrote a blog post sketching the current situation,
where the package is waiting in NEW for someone to have a look at it,
see
<URL: http://people.skolelinux.org/pere/blog/One_in_two_hundred_Debian_users_using_ZFS_on_Linux_.html >.

As I write there, the Debian leader has been involved in the process
earlier, to clear any copyright issues, and I thus assume that ZFS in
Debian is a topic that interests the Debian leader office. :)

The process has been going on for around four years now, and the time
needed to get feedback from the ftpmasters on any problems with the
package range from months to years, making the round trip time quite
large. The last upload was uploaded a month ago.

Is there something the Debian leader can do to shine some light on the
effort and perhaps motivate more people in the project to help get ZFS
into Debian? I do not know what more I can do to try to find errors in
the package or to get feedback from the ftpmasters on any remaining
issues.
