I suspect Mehdi tried to write "is not allowed", based on my
understanding of the current position of the Debian project.  If this is
wrong, we definitely would like to have some more information.

If only the package would get accepted into Debian, we would have a
shared focal point to fix any ZFS issues left to fix in Debian. :)
