Just to make things clear....
When I say that I don't intend to maintain this patches I mean that: I
won't be picking them from the zfsonlinux.org packages, and I won't be
testing this patches far beyond that they build.
So, I hope that you can either join the team and submit the patches
directly to the repository after testing them (that would be the
preferred option to me), or at least open a bug against the package and
attach the patches there.
I know that it may look like laziness on my side to not pick the patches
directly from the ZoL packages, but I prefer that you submit the patches
and in the process re-test them with our current package to ensure that
they continue to work as expected.
