I also tried a clean install of Stretch with the version in Stretch and 4.9 kernel. I tried the Stretch-backports version with the 4.19 kernel. They both fail with the same errors regarding dependencies.

I tried the clean install of Buster as logged as well as the version from Buster-backports and also the version in experimental. I tried with the 4.19 kernel and the 5.2 kernel (from backports). None seem able to be installed on a clean system.
