Peter,

I specifically created the zfs-mount-generator to automate managing of zfs mount units through systemd (and, in particular, ordering of mounts
for bind mounts).  I'm guessing you're in a similar situation. If you're running unstable, you should be ready to go! Just follow the
tutorial in man zfs-mount-generator.

If this solves your problem I'd encourage you to close this bug report---you either want zfs doing automatic management, and you should use
zfs-mount-generator, or you don't and the user should take responsibility for these fine-grained controls. (Even then, there's actually a very
recent patch [1] on zfs master that allows for especially fine-grained controls, including a couple interfaces x-systemd.wanted-by and
x-systemd.required-by that we specifically coordinated with systemd upstream on). This feature out is coming along very nicely, take a look!
