Yes, and this is partly my fault.  I've prepared a version of this
patch [1] and forwarding it to upstream [2].  [1] Also includes
some other fixes that should get in, but weren't worth delaying
the upload for. (But this certainly is!)

/sbin is the correct place for this, right?
