[Pkg-zope-developers] Group maintaining zope-epoz / cooperation with Ubuntu

Hi,

the recent discussion on debian-devel forced me to check

      http://people.ubuntu.com/~scott/patches/zope-epoz/

I recognized patches to this package and see that I can not do
much about including these. They regard an older version of zope-epoz
than it is in Debian and they use zope-debhelper which is not in
Debian (but should). So what should we do now.

Does anybody see a way to package zope-debhelper for Debian. Is there
any reason that zope-debhelper is not included in Debian for a long time.
I remember some postings about something like that, but I did not
realized that there is such a thing and it could be used. This
lack of information sucks.

Once we were able to adopt zope-debhelper in Debian I would be happy
to group maintain the package with Matthias Klose <doko@ubuntu.com>
who is also Debian maintainer and so no sponsored uploads are necessary.
IMHO this would enhance the packaging quality for both, Debian and
Ubuntu.

Kind regards

           Andreas.

PS: Matthias, please tell me whether you are subscribed to this list and
I do not have to CC you and if not I would consider it a good idea
     to subscribe.
