Hi there,

are there any plans to support ZEO with dzhandle (zope-common)?

Since zope2.7 ZEO instances are pretty easy to setup, so
if there is going to be a centralized instance handling for
all zope versions, we might as well add handling of ZEO
instances.

Imagine a setup where a ZOPE instance depends on a ZEO instance
running on the same host - in this case the init.d script
schould be able to start ZEO before ZOPE and stop ZOPE before ZEO,
this however would imply that the init script knows which ZEO
the particular ZOPE instance depends on. Without a well-defined
instance management it's quite tricky to resolve such dependancies,
e.g. you have to parse all known zeo.confs/zope.confs using ZConfig
which is quite time-consuming (at least it takes too long to be
executed in a rc.d script).
