What we have is in the SchoolTool PPA:

I also have a tool that "mostly" automatically built all these packages.
Dependencies are introspected from setuptools deps using tools in the
python-vanguardistas.pydebdep package. I'd like to propose that code for
inclusion in either the python packages or python-central.

The packages were created from a simplistic template directory. You can
see that they have very little "meat".

I have no time to work on this until the end of the month as I have a
very large project going live in 10 days. However, I'll try to answer
anyone's questions about this.
