what I actually did, is trying to fix the dependencies of different
targets.

only issue that I don't know what to do about, is that the dpatch
patch(-stamp) target would need to depend on the unpack(-stamp)
target. but I don't know how to define that dependency, as the dpatch
patch(-stamp) target isn't defined in debian/rules directly but rather
in the dpatch include file /usr/share/dpatch/dpatch.make.
