One answer to your questions:

Indeed.

No, "pending" means a bug fix is already in our git repo and will be
shipped with the next upload.

"wontfix" probably would be more appropriate albeit it does not look
approriate enough. ;-)

Maybe "moreinfo" is the most appropriate tag to mark the deferred
state of that bug(s). More infos are needed by upstream from the
standard which is a quite uncommon but IMHO valid case of "moreinfo".

Yeah, IMHO that guy reported just three cases of the same issue and
I'd expect that if one of these gets fixed, all will be fixed.
